Beyond the three founder members who signed the articles of the Association, the title of founder member is extended to the organizations involved in the former BioSecure EU-FP6 Project who join the Association before the end of 2008. Other membership titles (donor, benefactor, life, honorary) are granted by the General Assembly at the Board of Governors instigation.
